Women’s Libertadores: Corinthians thrash Olimpia, move on

Corinthians thrashed Paraguay’s Olimpia by 4–0 Wednesday evening (Oct 19) at the Gonzalo Pozo Ripalda stadium in Quito, Ecuador, thus qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Women’s Libertadores Cup.

The Brazilian team have now wrapped up the initial stage with six points, three behind number-one Deportivo Cali, from Colombia. The Brazilians are set to face Argentina’s Boca Juniors in the next phase. Ferroviária, another Brazilian team in the competition, should duel with the Colombian team.
