Sada Cruzeiro won, for the ninth time, the South American Men's Volleyball title. On Sunday (Mar. 19), the team beat Itambé Minas Tênis Clube by 3 sets to 1, in Araguari, Minas Gerais state. The victory ensured the team a spot in the next World Club Championship.

In 2022, Cruzeiro—the biggest South American champion—also won the championship.

Before facing Minas in the final, Cruzeiro played against Bohemios (Uruguay) and Policial Vóley (Argentina) in the first round, beating both by 3 sets to 0. In the semifinals, the Brazilian team defeated the host Araguari.

The victory reinforces Cruzeiro's good stage. The team is leading the first phase of the Men's Superliga, with 18 wins in 21 games.

The South American podium ended up 100 percent made up of teams from Minas Gerais. In the duel for third place, Araguari beat Ciudad Vóley by 3 sets to 2. It was the first time the team from the state of Minas Gerais took part in the event as a guest. The team is in ninth place in the Superliga and is trying to qualify for the quarterfinals.
