The Brazilian national soccer team landed on Tuesday (Jul. 18) in Brisbane, Australia, the host city for the Women's World Cup 1st round, which begins on Thursday (20). The opening match of the World Cup will be held at Edem Park stadium in Auckland (New Zealand).

Upon their arrival at the North Lake Hotel in Brisbane, the team received a warm welcome from Brazilian fans and signed autographs.

During the group stage, all of Brazil's matches will take place in Australia. The opening match against Panama in Group F will be held on Monday (24) at Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide, approximately a three-hour flight from Brisbane.

The team's subsequent group matches are scheduled against France, in Brisbane, on July 29 and Jamaica, in Melbourne, on August 2.

In the Round of 16, the top two teams from Group F will face off against the leading teams from Group H (Germany, Colombia, Korea Republic, and Morocco). The best-performing team from one group will compete against the second-placed team from the other.

Casualty

Striker Nycole Raysla faced an early setback, as she was ruled out due to a sprained left ankle sustained during training on the Golden Coast before the journey to Brisbane. The short timeframe for her recovery resulted in her exclusion. As a replacement, midfielder Angelina, who traveled to Australia as a substitute, was selected by national coach Pia Sundhage. The 23-year-old will now participate in her first World Cup, stepping into Nycole Raysla's position.
