More than 22 artworks were seized during Operation Car Wash on Tuesday (Aug. 11). They arrived at Oscar Niemeyer Museum, in Curitiba in the state of Paraná. They are part of the 131 pieces seized in Renato Duque's house, Petrobras former director of Services and Engineering.

The pieces were transported from Rio to Curitiba by a specialized company and they will be in custody of the museum.

Federal Judge Sérgio Moro, responsible for the Operation Car Wash procedures in a court of first instance, stated in March, when he decided to transfer the artworks, that the pieces can provide the compensation to Petrobras coffers of funds embezzled by the company's former director.

The museum already houses pieces seized with the businessman Zwi Skornicki and the currency dealer Nelma Kodama, both investigated in Operation Car Wash.
