The life expectancy of Brazilians born in 2015 is 75.5 years, according to data released today (Dec. 1st) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). This is slightly longer than the life expectancy of 2014 newborns (75.2 years).
This information is considered into the so-called social security factor, one of the variables used for calculating pensions under the general Social Security system that comprises mainly private sector employees.
