Brazil line-up for second World Cup match unveiled

The Brazilian squad is to face Costa Rica on Friday

Before the last training session preceding Brazil’s second World Cup match, coach Tite today (Jun. 21) announced the line-up to face Costa Rica, in St. Petersburg.

Brazil is to hit the field with almost the same team as in the opener: Alisson, Fágner (replacing Danilo, who sustained and injury), Thiago Silva, Miranda, and Marcelo; Casemiro, Paulinho and Philippe Coutinho; Willian, Neymar, and Gabriel Jesus.

Defender Thiago Silva will wear the captain’s armband, in observance of the rotation scheme adopted by Tite.
