This Thursday (2), the Federal Police (PF) launched Operation Manifest, to fight a criminal organization operating in the international trafficking of cocaine through the Bolivia-Paraguay-Brazil route, using planes.

According to the PF, the organization is made up of businessmen in the agricultural aviation sector, lawyers, pilots and individuals linked to a nationally active criminal faction.

“Investigations began in December 2020 after an air accident that occurred in the city of Gaucho Many Capões. On that occasion, the plane used to transport the drug suffered damage at the time of landing and remained hidden, in the middle of the plantation, for about a week”, says the PF.

About 150 federal police officers have served, since early this morning, 15 preventive arrest warrants and 30 search and seizure warrants. Court orders are also being executed to block properties and bank accounts, kidnap and seize ten aircraft and other vehicles, as well as assets that are in the group's possession.

The actions take place in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Roraima and the Federal District.
