Petrobras will invest R$ 10 million, through the Petrobras Cultural program, in sponsoring projects in museums, institutions and cultural centers across the country, which highlight Brazilian culture. A public call was launched today (13), and the proposal must include at least one of the themes: Brazilian art/culture; Popular culture/regionalities; Brazilian folklore; and History of Brazil, which may also include actions commemorating the bicentennial of independence, as well as other historical themes.

The registered projects can be carried out in person, digitally or hybrid, in any city in Brazil.

Initiatives can include shows and exhibitions; workshops, seminars, thematic meetings; educational proposals in spaces or exhibitions; and other projects that enhance the audience's experience in cultural spaces.

The projects must already be approved for the use of resources from federal or state law to encourage culture. Applications can be made on the Petrobras website, from today until January 17th. The result is expected to be released in May, with projects starting to take place in July of the same year.
