This Saturday (11), Rádio Nacional do Alto Solimões, broadcaster of Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), awarded the winners of the music festival promoted by Radio Triple Frontier between Brazil, Peru and Colombia. Ten new songs, written by musicians, composers, arrangers and interpreters from the region, reached the final of the competition and were presented in a show at the Amazônia Régia auditorium, in Tabatinga (AM). This was the fifth edition of the Radio Nacional do Alto Solimões Music Festival, which opened in August and received songs in Portuguese, Spanish and indigenous languages.

The award for Best Music in Portuguese went to A Força de uma Mulher, written and performed by Dinho Brawn. Dinho Brawn's fans also received the award for Most Lively Fans of the Night of Performances, following the tradition of the old music festivals of recognizing the finalist who most mobilized the audience.

The winner in the Best Music in Spanish category was the song La isla de la Fantasia , composed by Luis Carlos Ramos Gomez and performed by the band Inshiridos del Amazonas. The song also received the award for Best Lyrics, in the opinion of the technical jury. The song tells the story of the legend about an island that is opposite the city of Letícia, a Colombian city that borders Tabatinga, and that would be on top of a sleeping boa constrictor. The belief in the region is, if the giant snake wakes up, the island will disappear.

best interpreter

The judges elected the Colombian Yerit Pineda, who sang the finalist Mar , as the Best Performer of this edition. Pineda, who started playing instruments such as the flute, percussion and violin at the age of seven, in Leticia (which borders Tabatinga), is influenced by Brazilian rhythms, such as bossa nova and forró, in his compositions.

Best Music in Indigenous Language

The Best Music in Indigenous Language category was won by the band Etchire Maguta (in Portuguese, semente de jenipapo), which presented the song Ngu'nucuãgu , in the Ticuna language (clan of curassow, in Portuguese, a reference to the system of nations and clans that the Ticuna people organize). This was the cultural group's first participation in the Alto Solimões festival (watch the presentation of an excerpt of the winning song).

Best music

And the song chosen by the public as the best among the finalists was Pirarucu , by Rômulo Vate, Elwis Guitar and Gabryel Jorge, performed by the group Olho D'Água. The song received 51% of the votes (3,289) and won the Most Voted Internet Music award. Online voting started on October 25th and ended hours before the start of the festival (3pm local time, and 5pm Brasília time). In total, there were 6,400 votes.

The finalists were selected by a judging committee, made up of people with notorious musical knowledge. All the finalist songs have been aired on Rádio Nacional do Alto Solimões since the announcement of the selected ones, in October. In addition to announcing the winners, yesterday's presentation (11) also celebrated 15 years of Rádio Nacional do Alto Solimões, whose anniversary is next Wednesday (15).
