Bikes take center stage at international film festival in Brasília
Crucial as their role in urban mobility is, bicycles are the big stars of the international film festival that kicks off at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB), in Brasília on Tuesday (Jul 19) and runs until July 31.
All activities are free of charge, and include both outdoor and indoor film screenings, virtual exhibitions, workshops, debates, bike rides, meals, plus a number of other educational activities.
Cine Bike – International Festival of Cinema and Urban Mobility aims to encourage the public to change habits and think about the environment and sustainability, bringing together information and entertainment.
Similar events are organized every year in cities like New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Montevideo, a text on CCBB’s website points out.
