TV Brasil has consolidated its position as the fifth highest-rated channel on Brazil’s television panel in June. Its impressive performance confirms the public’s recognition and interest in its catalog, packed as it is with new shows and classics of the seventh art.
In 2022, EBC’s TV station surpassed four rating points. In the first half of the year alone, over 27 million viewers tuned in—nearly 40 percent of the audience surveyed by Kantar Ibope Media.
Among the public’s top choices is soap opera A Escrava Isaura, boasting ratings upwards of 1.5 points. Now in its final episodes, the period drama centered on a plantation owner’s love affair with one of his slaves is proof that old-time telenovelas still have a secure spot on TV Brasil’s listings.
TV Brasil’s news reporting is acclaimed as increasingly relevant, with programs counted among the best options on Brazilian television. Repórter Brasil Noite, aired in the evening, moves ever closer to its best month in recent years, with an average rating at 0.40 percent. In June, the show was watched by more than 1.3 million viewers.
