Highway police make largest single cocaine seizure: 1,860 kg
Estimated value of the drug is BRL 354 million

Brazil’s Federal Highway Police (PRF) made on Monday (Feb. 27) the largest single seizure of cocaine in its history. Around 1,860 kilos of the drug were found in a tanker truck in Sidrolândia, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul.
The 44-year-old driver said he was hired for BRL 20,000.00 to transport the cocaine to Campo Grande, the state capital, and that he would also receive the vehicle as part of the payment. He added he would deliver the drugs to an unknown person in a gas station in Campo Grande.
According to the police, the loss to organized crime with the seizure is estimated at BRL 354 million.
