Cruise season: Rio to welcome 27 foreign ships

By the end of the season in May, 440,000 visitors are expected

The port of Rio de Janeiro is expected to receive 37 ships by May 4, 2024, during this cruise season. Among these, 27 will be foreign and ten domestic, attracting an estimated 440,000 visitors. Additionally, there will be 85 national and 34 international stopovers during this period.

PortosRio, the port authority, reported that the second half of December will experience significant ship traffic, with an average of 57,000 tourists passing through the Pier Mauá International Cruise Terminal. Notably, there will be two simultaneous moorings on the 22 and 25, and four ships are expected on the 31.
