In New York City since Saturday (June 27), President Dilma Rousseff gives the closing address at the Infrastructure Brazil seminar held with business leaders from Brazil and US financial and productive sectors this Monday (29).

The president then heads to Washington for a White House dinner in her honor. At Obama's invitation, Rousseff will stay over at Blair House, the official state guest house of the US government. The two presidents have a work meeting on Tuesday (30).

The agenda will cover several issues, including the two countries' preparations for the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP-21) in Paris later this year. Rousseff and Obama will also discuss reopening bilateral meet trade and extending the Global Entry fast-track border clearance program to eligible Brazilian nationals (e.g. frequent business travelers).

According to Ambassador Carlos Antonio Paranhos, Rousseff's visit is a restoring of political dialogue with the United States, after Rousseff canceled a state visit to the country over alleged US spying on Brazil's government and state-owned corporations.
