US court authorities on Tuesday (Feb. 25) denied a request for an injunction filed by the social network Rumble and the company Trump Media against Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes.

Last week, the organizations lodged an appeal in a Florida court to accuse Justice Moraes of censoring the platforms and suspending user accounts.

According to the decision handed down by Judge Mary Scriven, the prosecution failed to present evidence to justify a ruling by the US judiciary.

The judge said there is no order for the judicial decisions signed by Justice Alexandre de Moraes to suspend social media profiles to be enforced in the US.

Justice Moraes’ defense was presented by the office of Brazil’s prosecutor-general and is based on the legislation concerning judicial representation abroad.

On Friday (21), the top court authority ordered the suspension of Rumble in Brazil after the platform failed to appoint a legal representative in the country within 48 hours, a mandatory condition for operating in Brazilian territory.

The suspension came in the case that led to the arrest and extradition of blogger Allan dos Santos, accused of spreading attacks on Supreme Court members. He currently lives in the US.

Despite the suspension of his social media profiles, Justice Moraes says, Santos still creates new pages to continue “committing crimes.”
