Rousseff government ratings up
President Dilma Rousseff's approval ratings have gone up from 7.7% in July to 8.8% in October, considering all “good” and “excellent” ratings combined. The figures are in a poll released today (Oct. 27) by the National Confederation of Transport, provided by MDA research institute.
The latest poll has found that 1.3% of respondents rate the government as “excellent”; as against 7.5% who rate it as “good”, 20.4% as “average”, 18.1% as “poor”, and 51.9% as “terrible”. The other 0.8% of respondents were not sure or did not answer. In July, the results were 1.5% “excellent” ratings; 6.2% “good”; 20.5% “average”; 18.5% “poor”, and 52.4% “terrible” ratings.
Rousseff's personal performance is approved of by 15.9% of respondents and disapproved of by 80.7%. In the previous survey, these figures were 15.3% and 79.9% respectively. The percentage of respondents who were not sure or did not answer was 3.4%, down from a previous 4.8%.
MDA Institute heard 2,002 people in 24 Brazilian states between October 20 and 24. The margin of sampling error of the poll was plus or minus 2.2 percentage points.
