Brazil Supreme Court confirms validity of JBS plea bargain statements

With the vote of Justice Dias Toffoli, the floor of the Brazilian Supreme Court reached a majority of six votes to zero in favor of the validity of the plea bargain statements by meat-packing giant JBS, made official in May by Justice Edson Fachin. Also decided as part of the same vote was that Fachin is to remain rapporteur in the case. By 5 p.m. today, five justices were yet to vote.
