Corruption charges against President Temer sent to lower house
The president will be notified to present his defense once the charges

The Supreme Court on Thursday (June 29) sent the corruption charges against President Michel Temer to the Chamber of Deputies. The charging documents were filed with the General Secretariat of the presiding officers of the lower house by Supreme Court Director-General Eduardo Souza Toledo.
The charges will be read by Deputy Mariana Carvalho, first secretary of the presiding officers, on the house floor. President Temer will then be notified to present his defense.
