Current Minister Flávio Dino is stepping down after being appointed to a seat on the Supreme Court left empty following the compulsory retirement of Justice Rosa Weber, who turned 75 in October last year.
“We have a trend, almost a confirmation, of a reduction of around 6% [5.7%] in the so-called intentional lethal violent crimes,” Justice and Public Security Minister Dino said while presenting a preliminary assessment of the ministry’s efforts this year.
“At each base, we’ll have the Federal Police, the Federal Highway Police, the National Force, and the State Police, as well as the Armed Forces” Minister of Justice and Public Security Flávio Dino said on A Voz do Brasil.
Justice Minister Flávio Dino was referring to the period from Oct. 31 to Jan 8. “There was a criminal plot aimed at rigging the outcome of the election,” he spoke during an announcement of investments in the public security of Rio de Janeiro state.
According to the ordinance that determines the opening of the new investigation, the delegate responsible for the case is Guilhermo Machado Catramby. The crime completes five years on March 14.
