Delayed takeoffs and landings were reported two days before Christmas, as pilots and flight attendants maintained the walk-out between 6 and 8 am across the country.
With 4,690 flights reported, this is the highest volume of air travel after the period of border closures and other restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Landings totaled 4,003, 80.71% of the capacity of the international air network in 2019. Tourism body Embratur has met with airlines for full recovery still this year.
Face masks and social distancing will continue to be recommended as measures to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Some other protocols are still in place.
