A group of 30 entrepreneurs led by the head of Brazil’s Industry Confederation CNI have flown to South Africa to take part in meetings with businesspeople from other Brics nations—especially India, Russia, and South Africa.
Brazil plays a significant role in helping the world create an emission-neutral green economy by 2050, Brazil’s Environment Minister Joaquim Leite said at OECD meeting.
In his view, due to this set of drivers, the post-pandemic scenario should delay Brazil’s transition into a green economy, and banks all across the world will have to be creative in how this transition will be financed.
One of the problems in Brazil’s efforts to complete infrastructure projects and preserve the environment is not in environment legislation or the economic crisis making public investment scarce.
The promotion of green economy—conciliating development, environment, and the reduction of poverty—includes dialogue between the government, civil society, and companies.
