Admen João Santana and Mônica Moura, a married couple that had been in jail since February on charges of corruption, criminal organization, money laundering, had their temporary release ruled Monday (Aug. 1) by a federal judge in Curitiba, southern Brazil.
Suspended President Dilma Rousseff said today (Jul. 22) on her Twitter page that she did not allow the payment of her electoral campaign with illicit money not registered with the Superior Electoral Court. “If such payment was made, I was not aware of it,” she said.
Federal Judge Sérgio Moro decided on Friday (Feb. 26) to extend for another five days the arrest of adman João Santana and his wife, Mônica Moura, in addition to Odebrecht employee Maria Lúcia Tavares.
