The minimum wage was adjusted according to the formula that provided for the growth of GDP of 2 previous years, plus the official inflation rate of the previous year.
Besides the G20 meetings, minister Guedes will participate this week in the annual autumn meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
According to Minister Guedes, the Brazilian economy is in a better situation than that of developed countries, as well as than that of other Latin American countries.
At the World Economic Forum, Brazil’s Minister of Economy Paulo Guedes noted that fiscal results have been positive, despite the challenging landscape.
“Brazil is a green power, and the world knows that,” said the minister in his speech. He pointed out the relevance of its role in the relationship with other countries.
