The product should allow consumers to determine whether they have been infected with the novel coronavirus in just 15 minutes. The first batches should be delivered to drugstores early in March.
The request was made by the Brazilian company Okay Technology Comércio do Brasil Ltda for imported self-tests using nasal swab.
The agency is now expected to publish a resolution so that the companies interested in selling the kits at Brazilian drugstores may submit the products for registration.
