The product is the second diagnostic test authorized in the country. It detects genetic material from the bacteria transmitted by the bite of an infected tick. The test must be carried out by a health provider with specific knowledge.
The exam was carried out on account of the president’s trip to the US to participate in the 76th United Nations (UN) General Assembly. On Tuesday (21), Brazilian Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga, who was part of the president’s entourage, tested positive for COVID-19.
