Teeth, eggs, and clutches of dinosaurs from the Upper Cretaceous period, estimated to be between 80 million and 66 million years old, have been discovered in the region.
Portuguese is not only one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, with over 265 M speakers, but it is also the most spoken language in the Southern Hemisphere.
The title, awarded in Naples in 1997, is said to have stemmed from the city’s diverse urban scene and architecture as well as its history as a Portuguese colonial city.
The exhibition will remain at the Caminho Niemeyer dome until October 9th, and in early 2023 it will move on to the Museum of Contemporary Art, also in Niterói.
The list includes Caminhos dos Cânions do Sul Park, located between the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul; and Seridó Park, in Rio Grande do Norte state.
