The partial figure for 2023 is already the highest number of rescues in the last 14 years and a record in the total of severance payments. In all, 516 urban and rural establishments were inspected.
The rate is the lowest for the period since 2014, down 0.8 percentage points from the previous quarter (8.8%). Against the same span last year (9.3%), the proportion was down 1.3 percentage points.
The survey was conducted as part of the Fairwork Brasil project, linked to Oxford University, and heard six platforms: Uber, iFood, 99, Rappi, UberEats, and GetNinjas.
The country’s black and brown population (47.4%) was more present in informal occupations in all states, compared to white people (34.5%).
