Petrobras achieved new record oil production in Brazil in September. The state-owned oil company reports an average 2.23 million barrels of oil per day in the country in September, inclusive of fields operated by the state company for its partners. The volumes obtained are 0.3% higher than an already unprecedentedly high output in August.

The result was mainly due to increased production on the P-55 and P-62 platforms of the Roncador field located in the Campos Basin, and the Cidade de Paraty FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel), in the Lula Nordeste field, Santos Basin. Five new offshore production wells began their operations in the two basins.

Considering pre-salt fields only, the daily average was 532,000 barrels. The volume produced on September 18 set a new record in the company's daily pre-salt output with 618,000 barrels.

As for natural gas, Petrobras produced 80.13 million cubic meters per day including fields operated for partners. With this result, the full production of oil and gas both in Brazil and abroad totaled an average 2.8 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
