Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro celebrated the reduction in Brazil’s Credit Default Swap (CDS), which serves to gauge the investment risk in certain countries. Brazil’s reached 128 points, a level described by the president as the lowest in five years, indicating “international investors’ restored confidence in Brazil,” Bolsonaro tweeted on Monday (Jul 22).

“Along with strides like the admission to the OECD and the Mercosur–EU deal, we’re bringing Brazil to the place it deserves,” the president adds.
