Oil: 73% of Brazil production stems from pre-salt layer
Total production in February reached 3.55 million a day

The portion of Brazil’s pre-salt production in the country’s total output for oil and natural gas in February reached a record 73.14 percent, as per data published today (Mar. 17) by Brazilian oil and natural gas agency ANP.
According to the agency, 2.6 million barrels of oil equivalent (oil and gas considered together) were produced in pre-salt layers daily. The total national production stood at 3.55 million barrels a day.
ANP further reported that the Tupi Field alone—Brazil’s top producer—accounted for 32.8 percent of the country’s production, with a daily 1.2 million barrels of oil equivalent.
