Share of Brazil’s power utility Eletrobras at BRL 42

Brazil’s power utility Eletrobras today (Jun 10) released a relevant fact with the value of each share set at BRL 42. The total amount to be raised was said to reach BRL 29,294,027,952.00.

The value converted into dollars for trade on the New York Stock Exchange was $8.63.

The statement adds there will be “no registration of the global public offering or the shares with any agency or regulatory body, except in Brazil with the CVM [Comissão de Valores Mobiliários], and in the United States with the SEC [Securities and Exchange Commission].”
