Brazil’s gross domestic product (GDP) went up 0.4 percent in the third quarter of 2022 from the second. In current values, it stood at BRL 2.544 trillion, official statistics agency IBGE reported today (Dec. 1).
Compared to the same period in 2021, the GDP is up 3.6 percent. Across all four quarters ending in September 2022, the surge was three percent against the four quarters coming immediately before.
From January to September this year, the production of goods and services in the country grew 3.2 percent against the same period in 2021.
