Brazilian economy grows 0.9% in second quarter of 2023

Brazil’s gross domestic product (GDP) totaled BRL 2.651 trillion in the second quarter of this year, up 0.9 percent from the first three months of the year.
Compared to the second quarter of last year, the Brazilian economy grew 3.4 percent. In the previous 12 months, the GDP rose 3.2 percent.
The figures were released Friday (Aug. 1) by statistics bureau IBGE.
