Starting today (Mar. 30), the Ministry of Education has a new head. Victor Godoy, a Communications network engineer graduated from the University of Brasília (UnB), occupied the post of executive secretary at the ministry.

The move comes after the opening of an investigation on Ribeiro, suspected of favoring the allocation of funds from the National Fund for Education Development (FNDE), with two evangelical pastors acting as middlemen. The case led Ribeiro to resign on the March 28.

Resumé

Victor Godoy’s resumé, as published on the ministry’s website, says he is a civil servant with a career as a Federal Auditor of Finance and Control at Brazil’s Office of the Comptroller-General (CGU), where he worked from 2004 until he was invited to become the ministry’s executive secretary in July 2020.
