Fluminense has now moved even closer to the group stage of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Cup after defeating Paraguay’s Olimpia 3 to 1 at the Nilton Santos stadium, in Rio de Janeiro, on Wednesday (Mar. 9) as part of the third previous phase of the continental championship.
On the Brazilian side, two goals were scored by Argentine Germán Cano and one by Luiz Henrique.
The next game between the two teams—which should decide who gets qualified for the group stage—will be held next Wednesday (16) at 9:30 pm Brasília time, at the Defensores del Chaco stadium, in Assunción, Paraguay.
