Friday (1st) was a day of triumphs for duos with Brazilians in the traditional Wimbledon Tournament. Bia Haddad from São Paulo won in her debut, playing alongside Polish Magdalena Frech. The partnership won by 2 sets to 1 (4/6 6/4 6/2) over Czech Lucie Hradecka and Indian Sania Mirza, seeded 6. Bia and Bia and Frech return to the court on Sunday (3rd), for the round of 16, against Slovakian Viktoria Kuzmova and Dutch Arantxa Rus, at a time yet to be defined.

Earlier this afternoon, Bia won again, this time in the mixed doubles bracket, alongside Bruno Soares from Minas Gerais. They scored by 2 sets to 0 (7/6 and 6/3) on the partnership of another Brazilian: Rafael Matos, who played with the Ukrainian Lyudmyla Kichenok.

Despite the loss to Bia and Bruno, in the mixed, Rafael Matos started the day on the right foot, advancing to the third round of the men's doubles bracket, alongside Spaniard David Vega Hernández. They beat partners Alekandr Nedovyesov (Ukraine) and Aisan-ul-Haq Qureshi (Pakistan) by 2 sets to 1 (6/3, 8/6 and 5/3). The Brazil-Spain partnership has already won two titles this season: it won the Malloca Tournament on the 25th, and the Marrakech Tournament in April, both ATP 250.
