Haddad has already entered the history of tennis in Brazil, by becoming the first Brazilian finalist in the Australian Grand Slam in the Open Era.
“Now is the time for us to aim for our best, to be out there, and face up to our own emotions and focus on our game", Haddad argued after the victory.
The Brazilian pairing formed by Felipe Meligeni and Rafael Matos bid farewell to Grand Slam by losing in their first match last night (18).
Haddad is to have a tough encounter in the coming fixture, with Romanian Simona Halep, the world’s former number one, currently 15th position on the WTA’s world ranking.
