Brazil’s Paralympic judokas should take the spotlight in this year’s World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan—the first in the cycle leading up to the Games in Paris, France, in 2024.
Brazil will have a delegation of 21 athletes standing atop six of the 16 categories (weights) of the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA). No other country should arrive at the event—held from November 8 to 10—with so many judokas in this status. Turkey comes closest, with five judokas heading the ranking for their respective categories.
