The Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB) has assembled the largest-ever delegation in the nation's history for the competition, consisting of 280 athletes.
At the Paris Games, Brazilian women will compete in soccer, volleyball, handball, and rugby, while the men are only guaranteed places in volleyball and basketball.
Closing out the competition on Sunday (Nov. 26), cycling and badminton secured the final medals for Brazil, claiming five gold and six silver podium finishes.
She won Brazil’s first medal in the 18 km race and should compete again in the sprint race in Ostersund, Sweden, Tuesday. Brazil is being represented by five athletes.
The country boasts top-ranking athletes in six of all 16 categories. In all, 21 Brazilian judokas will compete in Baku, Azerbaijan, starting on Nov. 8.
