Brazil had the best Gymnastics World Championships in its history, after winning two bronze medals last Sunday in Liverpool (England), with Rebeca Andrade on floor and Arthur Nory on the fixed bar. In addition, the Brazilian team secured the gold medal with Rebeca in the individual general.

With the two medals won in England, Rebeca became the first Brazilian gymnast to win medals on three different apparatus in an edition of the World Championships. Now all that's missing is a podium on the beam, the apparatus in which she finished in eighth place after suffering a fall. "One hour will come [the medal on the beam]. I'm very happy with what I did," declared the 23-year-old gymnast.

"This is the World Championships with the best results for Brazil. For the first time we got 12 finals and, in addition, three medals. Until then, our best result was two medals," declared the general coordinator of the Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation, Henrique Motta.
