Arsenal (England) said this Tuesday (6) that Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus underwent surgery on his right knee after suffering a knee injury in the match between Brazil and Cameroon in the third round of the group stage of the Qatar Cup.
"Gabriel Jesus successfully underwent surgery on his right knee after suffering an injury during the World Cup group stage match between Brazil and Cameroon last Friday [2]," the Gunners' statement said.
The striker was cut from the Brazilian team competing in the Qatar World Cup last Saturday (3) after it was found that he suffered a ligament injury and would not have time to recover before the end of the competition.
