Most Brazilians want better health services
Nearly half (49%) of Brazil’s population think that improving health services should be the federal government’s top priority this year, according to a survey entitled Portraits of Brazilian Society – Problems and Priorities in 2014, conducted by the Brazilian Institute of Public Opinion and Statistics (“Ibope”), for the National Confederation of Industry (“CNI”).
The survey further revealed that the fight against violence and crime, along with better education, should also be listed as priorities, in the opinion of 31% and 28% out of the 15,414 respondents, respectively. This total goes beyond 100% because the research allowed people to tick up to three options.
Other concerns revealed are drugs (23%), raising the minimum wage (23%), and fighting corruption (20%).
