An unfinished overpass collapsed this Thursday (Jul 3) in the southeastern city of Belo Horizonte, capital of the state of Minas Gerais. The structure fell apart hitting a micro-bus, a car and a truck. According to official data, two people died and 19 were injured. Ten victims were taken to a hospital, and nine others are being assisted at the scene.
The overpass is one of the roads leading to the Mineirão Stadium, a World Cup venue 4 km away from where the accident occurred. The next game at the stadium is expected to be played next week, on July 8.
