Pelé moves to semi-intensive care

The world-famous football icon, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé (age 74), is still hospitalized at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in São Paulo. His health status is stable. Hospital staff reports he is “in the semi-intensive care unit. He is conscious and eating well, and he's in good hemodynamic and respiratory conditions. We are still administering intravenous antibiotics.”
Pelé was hospitalized on November 12 after feeling sick. Tests found that the problem was caused by kidney, bladder, and urethra stones which were obstructing the urinary flow. The following day he had a surgery to remove the stones. On November 24, he was admitted to hospital again for a health check, and a urinary tract infection was detected.
According to his medical report, Pelé will be checked for kidney function on Wednesday (Dec. 3).
