Law on transit of foreign forces in Brazil changed

President Dilma Rousseff has just passed the law which sets forth the cases in which foreign forces are allowed to transit through, or stay in, Brazil.

Among the alterations is the one which stipulates that “the quantitative size and the nature of the contingent or detachment, as well as vehicles, pieces of equipment used for war, communication, electronic war, recognition and surveillance should be specified” while transiting in the country.
