Brazil’s Federal Highway Police reported that all federal highways were unblocked early this afternoon (Nov. 4). Thirteen partial obstructions are still reported, however.
The police also reported that 962 demonstrations were dispersed and that the 13 partial blockades are located in the states of Pará, Mato Grosso, Rondônia, Amazonas, and Mato Grosso do Sul.
On Sunday (Oct. 30), after the announcement of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s victory in the second round of the presidential election, truckers and supporters of Jair Bolsonaro set up roadblocks on highways in various parts of the country.
