Brazil's government has approved the legal details of an agreement with Angola to facilitate mutual visas for the two countries, resulting from a deal agreed in June, during a meeting of Angola's President José Eduardo dos Santos and Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff in Brasília.

Under the agreement, business visas will cover multiple entries over a period of two years, entitling holders to stays up to 90 non-extendable days for each one-year period. The visas will be granted within ten days of application.

Potential beneficiaries are nationals traveling for purposes of market research; business meetings; signing contracts and financial, management and administrative activities; negotiating investment projects. Business people and investors are also entitled, except where work or permanent visas requiring specific authorizations apply. However, visas granted under the agreement do not entitle holders to paid work.
