During a plenary session of the G20 summit assembly Saturday (Dec. 1), President Michel Temer called for joint and participatory efforts to address topics like energy transition, food security, and quality infrastructure. In the last case, he said, funding is the key word, even though the countries are facing what the president termed a paradox.
Data from the G20, the president said, indicate that the group needs another $15 trillion by 2040 to settle the deficits in infrastructure at a global scale. In an address delivered at the 3rd plenary session of the assembly, Temer said it was evident that the sum is considerable, but argued the amount exists.
