Rousseff leads vote count with 40.3% of valid ballots

Neves follows with 35.15%, Marina Silva with 20.91%

With ballots from 78.66% of the voting machines counted, candidate Dilma Rousseff (PT) is leading the presidential race with 40.30% of valid votes. Next comes Aécio Neves (PSDB), with 35.15%. Marina Silva (PSB) is reported to have 20.91%.

Blank votes add up to 3.84% and spoiled ballots 5.69%. Thus far, 19.39% electors have been reported as absent.

According to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), the partial result has not included ballots cast outside the country.
