Justice Jorge Mussi, of Brazil’s Superior Electoral Court, demanded explanations from the producers in charge of British musician Roger Waters’s concerts in Brazil. The ruling was issued yesterday (Oct. 27) as part of a case in which presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro accuses production firm T4F and his challenger Fernando Haddad of illicit electoral propaganda.

After receiving an official reply from the producers, Mussi will start the investigation. “Those named must be notified in order to submit their defense,” the minister declared.

The campaign members of Bolsonaro—front-runner in the polls—the image of British artist was illicitly used in a bid to promote “powerful and ostensive negative propaganda” against the candidate. In his artistic performances, held in the last weeks in a number of Brazilian cities, Waters vehemently expressed his views against Bolsonaro.
